Saving our valuable resources and reducing our CO2 emissions, these are essential environmental issues of our society today. But we, as well as a lot of our customers, are also very much concerned about a responsible approach to the environment.

silver plastics® GmbH & Co. KG has committed itself to treat the environment respectfully and save resources in our plastic packaging production – beyond statutory requirements.

Our whole production – our organisation and our staff – has committed itself to a sustainable treatment of natural resources and the environment.
All raw materials used in our company are environmentally safe, and can be 100% recycled.

Sustainability begins with the raw material

Already when processing Raw materials: polystyrene (PS), polypropylene (PP) and polyester (PET) - silver plastics® takes a holistic approach to using materials and raw materials economically. Already today silver plastics® recycles all raw materials used at a rate of 100 % in its own facilities, we aim at complete waste avoidance.

Product weight is largely reduced in accordance with the technical requirements of the product. As a consequence of reducing material we can save valuable raw material. The designs of our products are optimized with regard to all logistics aspects, thus saving energy during transport, storage and presentation at the POS.

In 2001 we introduced returnable transport packaging for industrial applications.
silver plastics® has a well-functioning HACCP concept and is BRC/IOP certified. We feel obliged to the current Energy Policy and dispose of a certified energy management system DIN EN ISO 50001, which we apply successfully.

In our polyester (PET) processing production we use an existing recycling system (PETCYCLE) for the supply with raw materials, which enables us to reduce the consumption of natural resources.

All types of plastics used in our production are harmless for humans and the environment; a disposal or recycling at a later stage does not create any problems. Consequently our products fulfil the requirements for consumer goods under the Food Act.

Together let’s look for sustainable solutions!
