RECYCLING
The conservation of valuable resources and reduction of CO2 emissions are essential environmental concerns of our time. Responsible treatment of the environment is also very close to our hearts and to those of our customers.
silver plastics® GmbH & Co. KG is committed treating the environment with care over and above the legal requirements whilst producing plastic packaging.
We consider the production of 100% recyclable mono-plastic packaging as a component for a sustainable future.

We produce packaging from natural fibres.
We mechanically process agricultural waste products and turn them into trays. After use, the packaging decomposes in the compost. In the process, we support local production for local markets with local materials. We make sure that edible materials that serve as food for humans are NOT being used.

The carbon footprint can be a helpful tool to determine the climate impact of products, services and other events in the daily life of each person.
silver plastics® GmbH & Co. KG reports annually detailed operating figures and actively participates in the sustainability report of the IK - Industrievereinigung Kunststoffverpackungen e.V. (Association of the Plastics Packaging Industry).
Our contribution of plastic products with regard to resource and climate protection is recognised by the political parties - the legislator.
SAVE FOOD
Taking responsibility always means thinking outside the box. With the production of food packaging, we take on social responsibility.
We actively support the "SAVE FOOD" initiative and work to ensure that less food goes bad in industrialised countries and that food in developing countries is better packed and protected during transport from the field to the market.

We have achieved the silver standard for the EcoVadis sustainability rating, which puts us in the top 25% of all companies assessed. An important and indispensable aspect of sustainability for us is the evaluation of our CSR performance.
